Trumpeter 05596 1/35 Russian BRDM-1

The BRDM-1 was an amphibious armored scout car used byRussiaand the formerSoviet Union. It was originally known simply asBRDMbut when theBRDM-2entered production and service with Soviet Army in 1962, it received the designation BRDM-1. The BRDM (also known as theBTR-40P) first appeared in 1957, and was in production until 1966. Total production was around 10,000 vehicles, less than 600 remain in the reserves of a number of countries.

Description This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit. From Trumpeter comes this detailed kit of the Russian BRDM-1 armored scout car in 1/35th scale!  From the manufacturer: The BRDM-1 was an amphibious armored scout car used by Russia and the former Soviet Union. It was originally known simply as BRDM but when the BRDM-2 entered production and service with Soviet Army in 1962, it received the designation BRDM-1. The BRDM (also known as the BTR-40P) first appeared in 1957, and was in production until 1966. Total production was around 10,000 vehicles, less than 600 remain in the reserves of a number of countries. All parts come molded in grey plastic with clear for the windows.  Black rubber tires, photo-etched metal detail parts, wire and decals are also included.  This kit measures 150mm long and 62mm wide when completed.
