The Supra was an instant sensation upon its announcement at the 1993 Chicago Auto Show and went on to become a true classic on account of its stunningly powerful form.

The RZ grade model used the 2,997cc inline-six twin cam twin turbocharged 2JZ-GTE engine, generating 280hp in Japanese domestic market cars and 320 in export versions, power that went to the rear wheels via a Getrag six-speed transmission.

The car had front and rear double wishbone setups and was fitted with slip control, as well as ventilated brake discs (4-pod on the front).
