Developed by Zakspeed to challenge the dominant BMW 320 Turbo, the Capri Turbo made its competition debut in the summer of 1978 and immediately stood out with its ultra-low nose, wide-body stance, and striking black livery accented with bold red and yellow flashes.

Competing in the over-2000cc class, the Zakspeed Capri quickly proved its pace, regularly running at the front of the field.

Its first major victory came at the Nürburgring in October 1978, followed by further podiums and wins in the 1979 DRM season, cementing its reputation as a true touring car heavyweight of the period.

This kit is an updated release of the original 1979 motorised model, now featuring new Cartograf decals , revised instructions, and updated packaging, while retaining the distinctive character of this iconic racing machine.
