Description

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 is a racing machine based on the production SLS AMG, which debuted in September 2009. Its long-nose, bobtail body design features gull-wing doors and a front-mounted 6.2-liter V8 engine. This particular racing car was entered into the 2012 Japan Super Taikyu Series of endurance races by the Petronas Syntium Racing Team. The team impressively took five consecutive wins at the start of the season on its way to claiming the championship title. The TA-06 serves as the advanced chassis platform for this particular kit. Compared to the TT-01 Type E chassis, which the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3 is also available, the TA-06 has a dual drive train, advanced suspension geometry and various setting options that will enable the user to achieve higher performance both on and off the track.

The 4WD TA06 chassis features excellent balance and its layout positions the motor and battery pack along the centerline of the chassis. It is powered via a distinctive Dual-Drive System with belt-driven front and gear-driven rear wheels. 4-wheel double wishbone suspension features a refined Inboard Front Suspension setup with short reversible suspension arms. The front and rear gearboxes are both equipped with gear differential units to provide superb traction and acceleration. In addition, it comes equipped with 24mm width racing slick tires mounted on mesh wheels.

Inboard front suspension employs short reversible suspension arms.

Power is supplied to the front wheels via 2 belts. Centrally placed longitudinal dampers make for a slimline setup.

The rear of the chassis features the motor in the center for optimum balance and uses gears to transmit power.

Features reversible rear suspension arms, and upper arms have 2 attachment positions.

Aluminum motor plate allows more precise motor attachment, while spur gear is fitted with dust cover.

Belt tensioner is integrated with ESC cable clip.

Differential performance can be altered by changing the viscosity of the oil employed inside.

Battery cover with 4 attachment screws ensures longitudinally-placed battery pack is secure.

Contains dampers to change the chassis to conventional outboard suspension.
