Description

The IMAM Ro.44 was an Italian mixed biplane fighter seaplane with a fixed float undercarriage. The drive in the basic version was provided by a single engine Piaggio P. XR 700 hp . The prototype flight took place in 1936. Serial production began in 1937, leading to the creation of 35 examples of this aircraft. It was armed with two 12.7 mm Breda-SAFAT machine guns. Features - This kit of the fighter version Ro.44 contains the same plastic parts as the previous, differing just in the fuselage parts. - Completely new are the clear parts, while the resin and photo-etched parts are just slightly different. - The decals are also new, offering two machines treated in overall aluminum dope. - The first machine sports Italian tri-color insignia on the fin, and the fin of the second machine was over sprayed with camouflage color and sports a white cross with a Savoy coat of arms. - Parts come molded in gray.
