The fish quickly outgrow their abodes and are forced to leave the water awkwardly walking on land in search of fresh hunting grounds.

When prey is scarce, gulpers have been known to smash or overturn watercraft to devour anyone onboard.

The largest known specimen is a beast the locals call "The Admiral." The fish measures more than 17 feet from snout to tail and weighs several tons.

The ancient fish aggressively patrols the canals and coves between Duskwarden and Cthon territory, as evidenced by the many smashed boats and rafts scattered about the shore.

Gulper flesh is edible but has a cloying muddy aftertaste easily countered by a few lightly roasted acorns.
