Engine Drivers for Steam Locomotives The engine drivers wear the black uniforms and black caps typical of that era. Since work on the so-called steam engines was very dusty and sooty, durable black work clothing was practical. The engine drivers are posed in typical positions and can each be used in pairs. One engine driver stands on the right in the cab, has his arm raised and looks out the window. The left engine driver operates the controls. Unmanned locomotives are unattractive and unrealistic on model railway layouts. With the engine drivers, steam locomotives can be decorated in a realistic manner. The set contains six hand-painted plastic figures for scale N (1:160 scale, approximately 1.1 cm high).
