Shunters Epoch III and IV at Work The model figures wear work clothing typical of epochs III and IV and yellow helmets. Epochs III and IV designate the period from approximately 1945 to approximately 1990. All figures assume typical working poses. Shunters are also referred to as shunt assistants or switchers. They couple or uncouple vehicles, secure stationary vehicles with wheel chocks and operate points. They hold uncoupled railway carriages with brake shoes and observe the track route. The set is perfectly suited to realistically decorate railway yards and railway depots on model train layouts. The set contains six hand-painted shunters for HO gauge (scale 1:87, approximately 2 cm high).
