Kato N Glacier Express Excellence Class 3 car Train Pack

The popular and classic Glacier Express is back with a new specification, incorporating the luxurious new "Excellence Class" passenger cars.
The actual train traverses the European Alps in southwestern Switzerland, running from Zermatt to St. Moritz, spanning two railway companies, the Rhaetian Railway and the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway, and taking a leisurely 8 hours to complete the journey. It is a popular panoramic sightseeing train where passengers can enjoy the magnificent Alpine scenery from the windows. In 2019, the "Excellence Class," an even higher class than first class, was introduced, bringing changes to the conventional passenger cars as well.

We will be producing a model incorporating the luxurious new "Excellence Class" passenger cars that appeared in 2019. The conventional first and second class passenger cars have also been updated with some interior details and seat colors, creating a lineup that allows you to enjoy the current Glacier Express. The Ge4/4-III will also be reproduced with its refurbished exterior.

• The Alps locomotive Ge4/4-III basic set (3 cars)/starter set features locomotive No. 647. The design with the large Rhaetian Railway logo on the side is reproduced. The  single unit features locomotive No. 643. In addition to the car number and side emblem, the side logo has a slightly different font from No. 647. The updated exterior, mainly around the lights, is reproduced.
• The headlights, which have been converted to HID/LED and have a significantly changed design, are reproduced (white LEDs are used).
• The front end reproduces the rearrangement of the electrical couplers and hoses (jumper plugs), and the emblem of the canton of Graubünden is attached. The emblem is reproduced with a shield-shaped plate attached. The brake hoses, located in two places on each side near the center of the front, are reproduced as separate parts.
• The use of a slotless motor ensures smooth and quiet running.
• The basic set (3 cars)/starter set comes standard with Arnold couplers. The single unit comes standard with Glacier Express short couplers. Includes replacement Arnold couplers. Minimum passing curve radius: R150. DCC compatible by replacing the light board with <29-025 DN163K4a> (Hobby Center Kato product).
• Passenger car Excellence class. Gold stripe along the red and blue-white boundary of the car body, and "EXCELLENCE" placed above the side indicator. WRp (Bar car) Reproduces the lettering "CLASS", Reproduces the end face with the gangway bellows on the locomotive coupling side removed and the gangway door modified - Reproduces the 1+1 seating arrangement and tables, and the bar installed using the space from the end of the car to the width of one window. Reproduces the side windows that have been partially closed or reduced in size due to the installation of the bar at the end of the car WRp (Bar car).
• Reproduces the bar with the seats removed and converted into a counter table type
• Reproduces the side windows that have been converted into some drop-down windows
• The color of the seats is expressed as ivory
• Reproduces the exterior with the passenger door windows changed to drop-down windows
• Reproduces the end glass with the frosted glass design changed
• The floorboard and bogie frame are set in blue-gray
• Both 1st and 2nd class cars have changed the seat color and the interior has been changed to black/brown to express the atmosphere of the actual train
• Api reproduces the interior with some seats removed and luggage space added Starter set Glacier Express in the Alps - The Glacier Express is a representative tourist train of Switzerland. This starter set allows you to easily enjoy the captivating appearance of the Glacier Express in N gauge.
• The vehicle specifications are the same as the <10-2026 Glacier Express Basic Set (3 cars)>.
• It includes a CV1 endless basic set (radius R150), two additional Unitrack S248 tracks, and a rerailer track, resulting in an 821mm x 347mm Unitrack track for running. You can easily enjoy the Glacier Express on your table or desk at home.
