Kato N Alpine Ge65/6-I Rhaetian Crocodile + Alpine Green Passenger Car Diesel Locomotive 5 Car Set

The Ge6/6-I is a rod-driven, six-axle, boxcab electric locomotive that appeared in 1921 with the electrification of the Albula Line. Affectionately known as the "Rhaetian Crocodile," two of these locomotives are still in operation today as preserved, operational units. In the 1980s, when it was in active service, it pulled green EW I passenger cars, baggage cars, and freight cars loaded with logs.

A set combining a locomotive, baggage car, and passenger cars, reminiscent of the Ge6/6-I, also known as the "Rhaetian Crocodile," a historical electric locomotive that appeared more than 100 years ago and remains highly popular on the Rhaetian Railway

Main Features:

• Ge6/6-I <Rhaetian Crocodile> Unit 415, which differs from the standalone product in terms of car number and markings, is produced as a set with a baggage car and passenger car.
• Reproduces the distinctive rod-driven undercarriage, the bonnet section that rotates together with the bogies, and the body with significantly different window and louver arrangements on the left and right sides.
• Reproduces the yellow handrails next to the crew compartment door as separate parts.
• Headlights light up (warm white LED). All three lights on the front light up, the light in the middle of the front window does not light up. The silver color of the rims of the left and right headlights is reproduced.
• Reproduces the large and uniquely shaped pantograph.
• Equipped with a coreless motor for stable running
• Couplers are pre-installed as Glacier Express short couplers. Replacement Arnold couplers are included.
• Baggage car
• Reproduces the early appearance painted green before the installation of pantographs and some window closures.
• Standard equipped with Glacier Express short couplers. Includes replacement Arnold couplers.
• Passenger cars: The longer EW I passenger cars used on the main line system are reproduced in their green-painted appearance before the refurbishment work.
• The 1st class cars reproduce the appearance with toilets at both ends of the left side before the refurbishment work
• The 2nd class cars reproduce the appearance with a toilet at the right side end before the refurbishment work
• Each car is equipped with Glacier Express short couplers as standard
