Description

During the 1930s civilian passenger airplanes or postal transport planes were developed by the German aviation industry that could be easily declined and converted into military versions. Officially intended for commercial aviation, the Junkers Ju 86 was a low-wing twin-engined twin-engine aircraft which, in the bombardment version, equipped the operational departments of the reconstituted Luftwaffe. The Junkers Ju-86 was used, like the Heinkel He 111 and the Dornier Do-17, as a medium-range bomber and participated in the Spanish Civil War in 1936 under the Legion Condor. Thanks to its two Junkers Jumo 205 engines the aircraft was able to reach the maximum speed of 300 km / h and to carry 1,000 kg of offensive load. The Junkers Ju-86 participated in the early stages of the Polish Campaign and was later replaced by more modern and current aircraft. In addition to being used by the Luftwaffe, it was used by the Swedish and Hungarian air forces.
