OverviewIn the early 1970s, a vision for a light ground attack aircraft emerged in Italy.

Aermacchi, a leading manufacturer, embarked on a design study, christening the project "MB-340." Italian Air Force requirements soon followed, seeking 187 new-build strike fighters to replace the ageing G.91 fleet in the close air support role.Across the Atlantic, Brazil sought a replacement for their Aermacchi MB-326s.

Recognising the synergy, the Italian and Brazilian governments signed a memorandum in 1981, paving the way for a joint development venture.

Thus, AMX International was born, tasked with bringing the AMX aircraft to life.

This collaboration marked the beginning of a successful partnership, culminating in the powerful and versatile AMX International AMX.

Now, Italeri have recreated this piece of military equipment in 1/72 scale, ready for you to build and display.
