SKU: ICM35364 | Brand: ICM | Product: ICM 1/35 Pz.Kpfw.VI Ausf.B King Tiger (Late Production) with full interior WWII German Heavy Tank Plastic Model Kit Regarded as the heaviest and most formidable tank of WWII, the German Pz.Kpfw.VI Ausf.B was engineered by Henschel Company under E. Aders' direction. Manufacturing commenced in February 1944. This vehicle featured thick armor protection and an 8.8 cm long-barreled cannon capable of penetrating any Allied tank at ranges exceeding 2,000 meters. Despite its firepower, the tank suffered from limited mobility and reliability issues with its power plant and transmission. Troops called it the Tiger II or Königstiger. From July 1944 onward, Henschel-manufactured turrets were installed, with Zimmerit coating applications ceasing in October 1944. Throughout 1944-1945, 479 Königstigers were manufactured for service in heavy tank battalions. Item number: 35364 | Scale: 1:35 | Time period: WW2 | Markings: Pz.Kpfw.VI Ausf.B, s.Pz.Abt.
