The BMW 2002 Turbo, introduced in 1973, is one of the most revered sports cars of its time. The first-ever production turbo car for BMW and any European car maker, it combined power, precision, and a distinctive style that made it an instant classic. Powered by a 2.0-liter, turbocharged engine, the 2002 Turbo was the first production BMW to feature an exhaust turbocharger, delivering exhilarating performance as well as thrilling driving dynamics. Its bold, aggressive design and racing pedigree cemented its place as a true automotive icon.

Under the hood, the 1/10th scale version of the BMW 2002 Turbo is equipped with the HPI Racing Sport 3 touring car chassis! With a full-time shaft drive, fully sealed 4WD drivetrain, waterproof electronics, 2.4GHz radio gear, fully independent double wishbone suspension and adjustable oil-filled shocks it’s Ready to Rock in all conditions. It's got plenty of power for 4-wheel drifts and jaw-dropping speeds at the pull of a trigger!

The 26mm FS-15 wheels feature a bold 8-spoke design, adding a touch of racing heritage to any RC vehicle. HPI SPEC-GRIP TIRES

Each wheel is wrapped in HPI's tried and tested 26mm SPEC-GRIP rubber tires, complete with multi-condition tread and high traction rubber "K" compound for maximum grip on just about every paved surface. You'll get great acceleration, braking and cornering performance from these semi-slick, grippy rubber tires! The tires are molded in a durable, long-wearing rubber compound that will give you a long life for hours of fun and enjoyment.

200mm BMW 2002 Turbo Replica!

This officially licensed BMW 2002 Turbo replica is designed in a 200mm width, making it compatible with today’s 1/10th scale touring cars. Crafted from high-strength polycarbonate, the bodyshell is molded in two pieces and hand-finished with clear windows. We’re confident you’ll agree it perfectly captures the spirit of the original, while taking HPI Racing bodyshells to the next level.

The attention to detail is evident, with plastic scale accents like chrome mirrors, light surrounds, bumpers, and the iconic BMW grille badge. The plastic rear spoiler and front and rear light buckets complete this stunning, authentic shell.

ALL-NEW LED LIGHTING

The Sport 3 BMW 2002 Turbo comes equipped with a brand-new LED lighting kit.

The era-appropriate warm-white headlights, tail lights, and brake lights are all controlled through the new TF-51 transmitter and RF-51 receiver, which now feature an integrated light controller. This system is channelled through the HPI 4-way LED Adapter for seamless operation.

One-Piece Molded Chassis

The main chassis is formed from a single piece of reinforced plastic and features the drivetrain tunnel molded right down the middle, just like a real car. It's a step beyond any plastic tub chassis car available today.

Low Profile Layout Design

One of the ways we gave the Sport 3 the best possible handling was to make sure all the components fit as low as possible in the chassis. This gives the car an amazingly low center of gravity for optimum cornering capabilities.

2S LiPo CAPABLE

The Sport 3 features a versatile electronic speed controller that can be used with modern lithium-polymer (LiPo) or nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) batteries. Please note a LiPo adapter plug is not included, your model shop will be able to provide one.

Fits a Wide Variety of Batteries

The Sport 3 chassis can fit lithium-polymer (LiPo) and nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) packs of various sizes, including the extra-long 7-cell NiMH packs. Whatever your power requirements, it can hold it all! A thick hook-and-loop strap holds the pack securely in place, and a simple battery block screws into place to allow you to adjust the weight distribution forward or backward for extra steering or acceleration. 

HPI Flux Technology for Ultra-Fast Speeds

What sets apart the Sport 3 FLUX from our other offerings is the HPI Flux brushless power installed in every Flux-powered machine. The Sport 3 FLUX is fitted with the awesome FLUX MMH-4000 motor, one of our most powerful motors for 1/10th scale cars. Thanks to the robust FLUX EMH-3S speed controller, you can strap in your choice of 2S or 3S LiPo power (or a 7.2v-8.4v NiMH battery with a suitable T-plug) to give the car an unbelievable power out of the turns and speeds of up to 70mph (124km/h) on the straight, when using optional gearing!

The NEW RF-51 receiver features a waterproof silicone inner jacket for use in any weather. A built-in failsafe is also a major feature: Signal failsafe for electric vehicles, and signal & battery for the RF-51N on Nitro vehicles! The RF-51 also uses the HPI 4-way LED Adaptor to add headlights and taillights with the built-in LED Light controller!

Full-Time Four-Wheel Drive

The Sport 3 features full-time four-wheel drive to give you the most control and precision on the road or track. All four wheels are driven by heavy duty gear differentials at the front and rear, just like a real car. The extra traction gives you increased acceleration and cornering control for maximum confidence and fun.
