Description

The military version of the Douglas DC-4 had it’s inception during WW2 as a military transport. Following that conflict, many stayed in the military and often ended up with unusual tasks. This US Navy aircraft is a good example. It was used to transport men and materials to the Antarctic continent from the US military facility at Christchurch Airport, New Zealand during the late 1950’s. This model air-plane is made from die-cast metal and plastic and include extensive detailing.

Includes display stand.
