Das Werk 1/35 Kanonenjagdpanzer/Beobachtungspanzer Plastic Model Kit

$89.99

Description

The Kanonenjagdpanzer is a tank destroyer developed in West Germany after World War II; it was equipped with a 40.4 caliber 90mm anti-tank gun. This vehicle, which began development in 1960, was formalized by the German Federal Army as KJPz and used in the Army.

In addition, 80 Kanonenjagdpanzers were exported to Belgium starting in 1975, and operated under the name JPK-90. The Kanonenjagdpanzer was responsible for the defense of West Germany during the Cold War along with the Leopard 1, but when the Soviet Union began deploying the T-62 and T-72, it was pointed out that this vehicle lacked power.

It was refurbished to the Yaguaru series equipped with anti-tank missiles, and the remaining vehicles were refurbished and operated as observation vehicles (Beobachtungspanzer).

This model kit from Das Werk comes with link-and-length tracks; decals for four versions are included. Please note that a figure is not included.
