Description

The Great Western Hall was designed by Charles Collett for the haulage of passengers and freight. The locomotive was introduced in 1928 and was not withdrawn until 1965, a testament to the design and popularity of the locomotive. In all 259 locomotives were built and 11 survive into preservation. During its long life span the locomotive was modified and upgraded many times and Dapol hope to produce many of these modifications

The Dapol model of the Hall features:

  • Finely molded body and tender with many separately added fine details
  • Cast wheels with fine relief and detail
  • Factory fitted traction tyres
  • Dapols tender drive system that delivers power to the locomotive wheels
  • DCC Ready
  • Tungsten chassis and 12 wheel pick up
  • Super Creep Motor for controlled pulling power with fine slow speed control
  • Finely etched brass plates
  • magnetic couplers included in spares bag
  • Accessory bag with spares and other added detail

Due to the restricted space in the tender, we recommend the Gaugemaster DC23 decoder for this model.
