Description

What a design! While the lineage is obvious it takes the Zeon style of design in a new direction. Well armed with two beam sabers and 12 1.3MW funnel remote beam weapons plus impressive speed and maneuverability it is a fantastic answer to the newer Gundams arrayed against it.
Bandai has struck MG gold yet again with this kit. In typical MG fashion EVERYTHING moves. From the head to the individual finger joints to the 10 funnel systems, each can be individually posed and removed. The shoulder armor opens just like the prototype. Opening cockpit area. Of course all parts are pre-colored and assembly is literally a snap. However the appearance of the finished kit will be immeasurably improved by painting.

BANDAI 1/100 MG AMX-004 QUBELLEY The AMX-004 Qubeley is a state-of-the-art Mobile Suit created by Neo Zeon for personal use by their leader, Haman Karn.

With a powerful Newtype as its intended pilot, Neo Zeon outfitted the Qubeley with ten psycommu-controlled Funnels.

These weapons are much smaller than earlier remote armaments, as they do not contain onboard power sources.

Instead, the funnels must return to their storage location after a set time to recharge for further use.

The small form factor of the Funnels allowed Axis designers to use an external storage device to contain the equipment separate from the Mobile Suit’s frame, giving the AMX-004 Qubeley a streamlined silhouette significantly shorter than its prototype.

Included alongside the MG Qubeley for accessories: Beam Saber x2 1/100 Haman Karn Figure Articulation The MG Qubeley is amongst the oldest currently available models in the Master Grade line, with over two decades since its initial release! The MG AMX-004 Qubeley does not feature a complete inner frame and uses many polycaps to give the model full articulation.

The MG Qubeley features double-jointed knees but does not utilize a swiveling thigh gimmick due to the thigh armor’s shape.

The MG Qubeley’s iconic shoulder binders all articulate in two places, making it much easier to create dynamic flying poses.

There is also a tab within each binder to help builders close them properly: a feature sorely missed on the HGUC #195 AMX-004 Qubeley released over a decade after! Weapons and Other Notable Attributes The AMX-004 Qubeley includes two Beam Sabers for close-quarters combat.

The AMX-004 Qubeley can hold these weapons in its manipulators or project the beams while the sabers remain inside the Mobile Suit’s forearms, which also serve as their storage location when not in use.

While mounted in the forearms, the Beam Sabers could also fire beam projectiles, serving as the AMX-004 Qubeley’s only ranged armament aside from the array of Funnels at its disposal.

This model includes ten individually molded Funnels, allowing builders to showcase the full extent of Qubeley’s fighting prowess.
