Bandai Gundam HGUC 1/144 RX-78 GP03S Gundam Gunpla Model Kit

The Stamen Gundam unit of the GP03 from Gundam 0083 includes several accessories and manipulator arms in elbows to recreate it pulling weapons containers from the Orchis platform. 

The Stamen was designed as the mobile suit component of the GP03 Dendrobium, specifically to dock with the Armed Base Orchis.

To handle the complex fire control systems necessary for single-pilot operation of the Orchis, the Stamen featured a spherical cockpit equipped with a panoramic monitor and a linear seat, utilizing materials derived from the RX-78GP02A Gundam "Physalis".

Initially, a Core Block System was considered for pilot safety, but this proved impractical for a panoramic cockpit, leading to the development of two interchangeable cockpits.

The version equipped with a Core Fighter was designated "P-Spec", though the exact meaning of "P" remains uncertain.

Instead of traditional head-mounted vulcan guns, the Stamen incorporated specialized control devices in its head for managing the Orchis' intricate fire control and docking systems.

Its arms concealed folding extensions, significantly extending its reach to retrieve weapons from containers aboard the Orchis.

Tail binders not only aided in docking maneuvers but also contributed to the Stamen's maneuverability using the AMBAC system, a feature that became standard during the Gryps War.

Despite being designed to operate as part of the GP03 Dendrobium, the Stamen's individual performance was highly esteemed, comparable to later-developed mobile suits of its time. ( G5060967 )
