The Crown, a constant pioneer in Japan's luxury car history, underwent a full model change in 2003 to become the 12th-generation S18# series Crown. Every component, from the chassis to the engine and suspension, was completely redesigned, earning it the nickname "ZERO Crown." In October 2005, it received a minor update, evolving into the later version.
