Description

The Sikorsky CH-53 Sea Stallion is an American-made heavy transport helicopter with a classic all-metal construction, featuring a main rotor and a boom-mounted tail rotor. It is powered by two General Electric T-64-GE-413 engines, each producing 3,925 hp. The first prototype first flew in 1964, and series production lasted from 1966 to 1978. It is estimated that approximately 510 helicopters were built.
