Description

The F-15J Eagle was the main fighter of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force that protected the skies of Japan. The F-15J Eagle was equipped with the JASDF's original equipment based on the U.S. Air Force's F-15C, which was first deployed in 1974. The F-15J was first deployed in 1982, and it still plays a major role in air defense in Japan. This aircraft is deployed and operated at each air base in Japan, although nearly 40 years have passed since its deployment started. Its performance has been maintained and developed while it underwent various updates, modernizations, and renovations. It currently has the world's top class ability; in 2019, it took part in the Japan-Australia joint training exercise "Bushido Guardian 19" held at Chitose Base. Taro Kono, Japan's Minister of Defense at the time, boarded the cockpit to boost morale.

This model kit from Platz reproduces Unit 900, the very same aircraft that Taro Kono boarded in September 2019! The illustration of Hokkaido on the side of the cockpit is reproduced with decals by Cartograf, as is Taro Kono's name. The landing gear is delicately reproduced, as is the engine nozzle with divided parts; you'll love having this kit in your collection, so order yours today!
