Mighty Mercedes

The Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3 was the top model in the W 109 S-Class model series and was produced between 1967 and 1972. Although it was not originally intended for racing, the 6.3 was soon used in touring car championships. With the so-called "red sow", the AMG drove to class victory in the 24-hour race at Spa in 1971 and finished second overall.
