Our remote control (RC) boats are built to last and glide across the water with ease. Most of our models come with push-pull or breakaway rudders for sure control and stability on the water, as well as waterproof sails and sealed sections for internal electronics.
However, even the best of boats need maintenance every now and then, both regular-sized boats and miniature ones! Whether you need spare parts, new batteries, or even accessories to help spruce up the design of an existing (or discontinued) remote control boat, you’ve come to the right place.
Frontline Hobbies is the home of RC boat parts in Australia! We’ve been operating since 1978 and over the decades, we’ve come to be the biggest hobby store in Australia specialising in remote control toys.
We have hundreds of RC boat parts and accessories available both in store and online. From spare propellers to screw sets, rudder struts, waterproof motors, and more, you’re sure to find the RC boat parts you need for a fast and effective RC boat.
Shop a huge range of parts and accessories online. We offer fast and affordable shipping across Australia, as well as flexible payment options like Zippay and Afterpay. It’s never been simpler to upgrade your RC yacht, speed boat, or sailboat.
NOTE: Our range of remote control boats is designed for use in freshwater. Use in saltwater may lead to component failure and void warranty. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure the boat is sealed when in use and to maintain the boat after each run.
When it comes to building an RC yacht from scratch, you’ll generally need the boat, the motor, the battery, the receiver, the shaft, propellers, and mounting hardware to help install everything effectively. You may also need a replacement transmitter to control the yacht while it’s cruising across the water.
However, when it comes to modifying, repairing, or maintaining your RC yacht, you might just need a few of these RC yacht parts to ensure your boat is easy to control, sturdy and buoyant in the water, and speedy as well.
At Frontline Hobbies, we stock a wide range of RC yacht parts and tools to help maintain the sturdiness of your boat. We find most of our customers come looking for replacement propellers, servos, and radio gear to keep their remote control yacht moving in the water, but we also stock rudders and rudder assembly kits, spare masts and turnbuckles, and fresh sails.
We even have the nuts, bolts, joiners, and screws required to keep your yacht in ship shape.
If you’re not confident installing the new parts for your RC yacht, be sure to give us a call and let us know what work needs to be done. If you bring your RC yacht in store, we can take a look at the current condition and find the right parts to get your yacht back up and running.
We have years of experience working in RC yachts, sailboats, and speed boats. All we need is a little background into the condition of the boat and we can find the solution to your maintenance needs.
Like RC yachts, RC speed boats and sailboats need some love sometimes, too. Whether it’s a new waterproof motor or a fresh hull, we have the RC sailboat parts you need to keep your RC boat afloat.
For example, our LRP Deep Blue One Motor including a Cooling Fan & Motor Mount LRP-311004 is an all-in-one solution to power and cooling in your miniature speed boat. Hitting incredible speeds across the water, your RC speed boat’s motor will need a hand to stay cool. This tiny motor is ideal for the job - easy to mount onto the vessel and featuring in-built cooling fans, this motor will solve any motor problems you currently have.
We also have spare hulls in case your speedboat or sailboat’s existing hull has a few scratches or dents from running into obstacles.
Again, if you don’t feel confident replacing motors, hulls, and other RC boat parts, simply ask our friendly team to give you a hand. We’re experienced in RC boat repair and maintenance, so we can fit the parts easily.
Sometimes, the solution isn’t as complicated as a new motor, rudder, or hull. It can be as simple as new screws, nuts, bolts, and joiners to reinforce the sturdiness of your vessel or replace old, rusty pieces.
We offer a wide range of small parts to secure your RC yacht, speed boat, or sailboat - along with small parts boxes to ensure you have the pieces you need organised and available when you need them.
Plus, we have greasers for RC boats that are starting to feel a bit clunky in the water. Maybe your boat is struggling to turn, or is starting to squeak - this can be an indicator that corrosion is starting to set in. Using grease and silicone-based lubricants can help prevent this.
When it comes to powerboats, it is important to regularly apply grease to the propeller shaft to lubricate it and prevent water ingress.
Whatever you need to maintain your RC vehicle, aircraft, or boat, you’re guaranteed to find it online or in store with Frontline Hobbies!
Due to the nature of remote control boats and yachts, it’s not uncommon to see some damage from time to time. Some boats are used for racing, while others can take on damage from casual use. We’ve all had a crash or a scrape!
When it comes to fixing small scrapes, superglue (Cyanoacrylate glue) will be your new best friend. Superglue is an instant adhesive and comes in thin, medium, or thick consistencies depending on the damage at hand. However, most hobbyists use thin glue to patch up holes and cracks.
Cyanoacrylate is one of the most effective glues for repairing RC boats because of its almost instantaneous setting time and ability to bond to a variety of materials. It’s important to stay focused and careful when using this glue, though, as it can be dangerous on skin. We also always recommend using glues like Cyanoacrylate in a well-ventilated area.
If you’re working with water damage, however, we recommend turning off your remote control boat and letting it dry out for a few days. Be sure to open up the electronics tray and allow the receiver and the servo to dry out, but definitely wait a few days before launching your boat back onto the water. This makes diagnosing issues a much easier process.
We also recommend checking the battery and the motor, although these parts often have waterproof casing to protect the electronics from damage.
If you’re feeling uncertain about the level of damage you’re dealing with, be sure to give us a call or drop into our Broadmeadow store. We can always take a look based on the brand’s standards and provide support.
