Trumpeter 1/72 Su-24M Fencer-D Plastic Model Kit 01673

The Su-24 tactical Bomber was designed by Sukhoi OKB. It`s an all-weather, low-level attack aircraft which known by the NATO codename 'Fencer'. The aircraft has a conventional aerodynamic configuration with a variable-sweep shoulder wing, side-mounted intakes and two-seat cockpit. The first production aircraft flew on31 December1971. The total production of the Su-24 was about 1,400 planes and the aircraft is in service with the Russian Air Force and Navy, and the air forces of Azerbaijan, Algeria, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Libya, Syria and Ukraine.

The Su-24M is the upgrade version of the Fencer-B/C,the prototype is the T-6M-8 which took the first on 29 June 1977.The production Su-24M were accepted into service in 1983.The new Su-24M Fencer-D is 0.76m longer than the former versions,the reshaped shorter radome was added and a series of new equipments were applied such as the Kaira-24 laser designator/TV system which offer the aircraft the ability of carring the laser/TV guided weapons.
