Hasegawa - 1/700 IJN Heavy Cruiser Nachi 'Super Detail'
Nachi was a Japanese heavy cruiser under which the keel was laid in 1924, launched in June 1927, and commissioned in the Japanese Imperial Navy in November 1928. The length of the ship was 202 m, width 20.7 m, and the actual buoyancy was full - 13.500 tons. The maximum speed of the Nachi cruiser was 36 knots. The main armament at the outbreak of World War II constituted 10 203 guns in five double towers, and additional weapons include, among others: 8 127 mm cannons and 12 torpedo tubes for 610 mm caliber.
Nachi was the second Myoko type cruiser. Cruisers of this type were officially built with the requirements of the disarmament Washington Treaty signed by the authorities in Tokyo in 1922, but in fact significantly exceeded the limits imposed on the displacement and weapons. Undoubtedly, the Myoko type units were very successful: at the time of launch, they possessed significantly more powerful artillery weapons than their counterparts in the Royal Navy or the US Navy, as well as very high speed. The battle trail of the Nachi cruiser in World War II began in February 1942 with fighting in the region of Dutch East India. He also took part in the Battle of the Javanese Sea in February 1942, contributing greatly to the Japanese victoria. Later he served in the area of Aleutów, and in 1943. he fought there a battle near the Commander Islands in March 1943. In 1944 he took part in the battle of Leyte. The ship was sunk in Manila Bay on November 5, 1944 as a result of the attack of American aircraft on board.
